The most reliable syllabus, textbooks, sample papers and timetables come straight from the boards. Here is where to find them, and how to use them well.
Start with the official sources
We link to the official sites and do not host copyrighted textbooks or papers.
NCERT
Textbooks used by CBSE schools. Free to read online. For CBSE, treat these as the core reading.
CBSE Academic
Curriculum documents, sample papers and marking schemes for Classes 9 to 12. The curriculum page is updated each session.
CBSE
Circulars, date sheets and exam notices, including details of the two Class 10 board exams.
GSEB
Gujarat Board syllabus, timetables, results and GUJCET notices.
How to use previous papers
Finish the syllabus first
Papers are for testing, not for learning new chapters.
Attempt a full paper in exam time
Sit without notes, at a desk, with a timer.
Check against the marking scheme
See where marks were lost: concept, method, or presentation.
Log mistakes by chapter
Revisit the chapters that repeat, then attempt another paper.
What to keep ready, class by class
Class 8 and 9
Current textbooks for your board, and a notebook for corrected mistakes. Sample papers are useful from Class 9 onward.
Class 10
Latest syllabus, textbooks, sample papers and marking schemes. CBSE students should also track both board exam phases on cbse.gov.in.
Class 11 and 12 Science
NCERT or GSEB textbooks for Maths, Physics and Chemistry, plus the current syllabus. GSEB students aiming at engineering or pharmacy should watch GUJCET notices on gseb.org.
